It should be clear to everyone that the success of the Miami High School Reunion Of Classes is due in large measure to the exceptional leadership of one man, Ed Long.  We just assume that the myriad details that go into planning a multi-year reunion will be attended to . . from arranging hotel contracts, to determing committee assignments, to obtaining the wonderful band.

Ed's intellectual gifts are many but the engine that drives him is most probably his love for Miami and the people who made it such a dynamic community.  His energy and dedication have  helped keep our memories  alive  and heightened our pride in being vandals. So, "hats off to Ed!"
